By Abu Rajman

Thank you so much for shinning the light on the truth of the petition saga of Wajir South.

We can now safely say mr Dayow had won the citizenship case which was an obstacle to his case of ballot recount of the general election of december 27, 2007.

The judge had further ruled that the ballot recount to take place march this year to determine who had the biggest number of the votes casted.

Once again I very much thank all those who posted reports on the petition especially Ahmed Diriye, Nur and Osman Abdi Salat whose reports is carried here bellow.

Member Ahmed Diriye reports:

Wajir South MP Ali Hassan Abdirahman wanted the petition challenging his election dismissed. The MP claims the petitioner Mahamud Sirat is an Australian and owes allegiance to that Government. Justice Luka Kimaru said he would deliver his ruling in January 22nd, 2010. the Ruling delivered by Justice Luka Kimaru on Friday the 22nd January 2010.

"The petitioner has the legal, constitutional basis and capacity to institute or proceed with an election petition" Justice Kimaru said. TheHigh Court Judge further orderd a scrunity and a votes recount of the ballot papers from the 2nd of March to 15th March, 2010. The High Court judge further reprimanded the Immigration Minister Otieno Kajwang for joining the fray in 2008, thus delaying the Petition. The above story is what actulaly transpired in the High Court, a fact you can cross check with The Daily Nation Newspaper on Saturaday, the 23rd January, 2010, Page 11. Many Thanks for the Goodwork you are doing and will keep you updated soon on the latest from our area.

Olow's allegations that mr Dayow was an Austalia citizen and termed it as an attemp to derail the ongoing petition and the recounting of the ballot boxes was scehuled for 1-17 of march.

Member Osman Abdi Salat adds:

I believe to the understanding of every staunch follower of the case, the first aspect of it has been ruled with the incumbent loosing. our attention is now focussed on the scruitny which will follow shortly. The contradiction will leave doubting in the hands of few. Lets live up to challenge. Lets approach it as a healthy contest.
