Publication Date: 02/01/09 By Hashim Magan I felt compelled to contribute by means of echoing the screams of many NEP parents who just received there pupils KCPE results hoping this should knock some sense into our people at the top hierarchy of the Kenyan government. I specifically would like to direct my empathies towards the people of Habaswein since they need good wishes more than some of us living at urban areas. They need to be given hope and that there will be alight at the end of the tunnel another dark and gloomy year for many pupils as I just said due to poor performance. Nevertheless a good exam results is becoming a pipeline dream for many pupils from NEP and my heart lights away for them. I wonder if many government representative knew the kind of conditions many poor people endure in there everyday life in this well structured area, under somewhat unending state of pessimism, the trouble they go through preparing water for cooking, bathing or just drinking is enormous. In short the service delivery for Habaswein residence by the government has not yet been felt by many of the community there. There patience has long being tested and their anger is boiling up in their veins in silence. I wish our Kenyan government could hear the crying emanating from Habaswein. I wish that the beginning of 2009 brings lights and hope for the people of Habaswein and I wish them that they maintain there solidified unity & rationally fight for what belongs to them e.g. better schools, proper social amenities and good infrastructures. |
